Sweden striker Lotta Schelin has won the adidas Golden Boot as top scorer at UEFA Women's EURO 2013.
Already ahead with three goals and an assist at the end of the group stage, Schelin scored twice and made one more in Sweden's quarter-final defeat of Iceland. A disallowed goal and 1-0 loss to Germany in the last four stopped her progress, but going into the final Célia Okoyino da Mbabi and Solveig Gulbrandsen were her nearest challengers, three goals and two assists behind. Okoyino da Mbabi provided an assist for Anja Mittag in the showpiece, but the top three places remained unchanged.
Schelin's team-mate, defender Nilla Fischer, took the Silver Boot with three goals. France playmaker Louisa Necib, one of 12 players to score twice, took the Bronze Boot thanks to her two assists and the fact she played 30 minutes fewer than team-mate Eugénie Le Sommer.
Da Mbabi finished as overall top scorer including qualifying, her two finals goal taking her to a UEFA Women's EURO record of 19 for a single campaign.

While goals scored will always be the first criterion in deciding the leading scorer further criteria will be used to separate players with the same goal tallies – firstly, assists, then minutes played (with the player boasting the better goals-to-minutes-on-the-pitch ratio taking precedence).
