Since 2002, we have been offering apprenticeships primarily in the field of commercial administration for students pursuing a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC), based at our campus in Nyon, Switzerland. We also encourage young people to pursue a commercial apprenticeship with a federal baccalaureate over three years of study instead of four.
In 2023, we expanded our apprenticeship offering by introducing the Swiss Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in IT Operations.
We consider it an important part of our mission to offer meaningful training opportunities to young people in the local region.
What to expect?
Our apprenticeship programmes are designed to give young professionals hands-on experience in the corporate world while continuing their studies, offering a unique opportunity to explore various aspects of the football industry.
The dual education pathway combines practical work within our organisation with theoretical learning at school.
What we offer
Apprentice programmes are a core pillar of the Swiss education system. At UEFA, we offer two types of apprenticeship for Swiss students who have completed their 11 years of compulsory education:
1. CFC commercial apprenticeship
- Commercial employees perform administrative tasks within a private or public company. The main activities consist of: correspondence and orders, accounting and secretariat management.
- Our commercial apprentices work three days a week and rotate every six months between key departments and divisions including Human Resources, Football, Finance, UEFA Academy, Marketing and Commercial Operations.
2. CFC information communication technology (ICT) apprenticeship (Opérateur en informatique)
- IT operators install and configure the hardware, applications and software that make up a company or organisation’s ICT infrastructure. The main activities include installation and commissioning, networking, and user support and administration.
- Our ICT apprentices work three days a week and across different units every year, ranging from stock, network and event operations to business solutions, application support and delivery services.

Applications are considered once a year, from October to November, and posted here. You can apply by following the process outlined below and providing the required documents.
In your application, please include your motivation letter, CV (in French) and school marks for the previous two years.
